§2504 Coordination Between Secretary of Energy and Other Agencies

Title 15 › Chapter 52— ELECTRIC AND HYBRID VEHICLE RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, AND DEMONSTRATION › § 2504

Last updated Apr 3, 2026|Official source

Summary

When carrying out the project under section 2503, the Secretary of Energy must, as much as possible, consult and coordinate with the Secretary of Transportation about anything that affects transportation rules or responsibilities, including safety and damageability programs. Every executive-branch department or agency must carefully consider written requests from the Secretary of Energy (or an agency head given project duties) to provide needed help. That help can be provided if the agency is paid back and may include moving employees if they agree and without harming their job status or rating.
