§2656 Training Grants

Summary

The Administrator can give grants to nonprofit groups that run or will run asbestos health and safety training and education for workers. Eligible groups include state and local governments, colleges and universities, joint labor‑management trust funds, and nonprofit public‑employee organizations. Applicants must apply in the form and with the information the Administrator requires. From the funds allowed under section 4021(a) of title 20 for fiscal years 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995, no more than $5,000,000 may be appropriated in each of those fiscal years to carry out these grants.
