Title 15 › Chapter 79— METAL CASTING COMPETITIVENESS RESEARCH PROGRAM › § 5306
The Secretary must set up an Industrial Advisory Board within 120 days after October 15, 1990, after talking with trade and technical groups in the metal casting industry. The Board has nine members picked by the Secretary. Most must be people from or connected to the metal casting industry. At least one member must come from each of the four census regions. Members serve up to five years and can be reappointed. Within 180 days after October 15, 1990, and every year after, the Board must give the Secretary a list of Metal Casting Research Priorities drawn from the general research areas in section 5304(d). Each year the Board must also review how the Secretary asks for and picks research proposals and suggest improvements, and check each chosen project and its management plan and report findings and recommendations to the Secretary.
