High-end computing is the most powerful kind of computing and data analysis. Internet is the global network of cooperating federal and nonfederal networks. Networking and information technology covers advanced computing, communications, software, and big-data management. Participating agency refers to the agency listed in section 5511(a)(3)(C). Program means the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development Program in section 5511. Program Component Areas are the main subject groups used to organize the Program’s projects.
