Title 15 › Chapter 14A— AID TO SMALL BUSINESS › § 636e
Lists short meanings of words used in this subtitle. Administration/Administrator is the Small Business Administration and its head. Disaster area is a place hit by a natural or other disaster and covered under 636(b)(1) or (2) while the declaration is active. Disaster loan program is the assistance under 636(b) as changed by this Act. Disaster update period runs from the President’s major disaster declaration (including when the Administrator adds aid under 636(b)(9)) until that declaration ends. Major disaster is defined in 42 U.S.C. 5122. Small business concern is defined in section 632. State means the States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and any U.S. territory or possession.
