Title 15 › Chapter 2— FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION; PROMOTION OF EXPORT TRADE AND PREVENTION OF UNFAIR METHODS OF COMPETITION › Subchapter V— TEXTILE FIBER PRODUCTS IDENTIFICATION › § 70i
If a person purposely does something that other parts of this law say is illegal, they can be charged with a misdemeanor. If found guilty, a court can fine them up to $5,000, put them in jail for up to one year, or do both. If the Commission thinks someone committed that misdemeanor, it may send the important facts to the Attorney General. If the Attorney General agrees, they must start the proper legal action to enforce the law.
