Title 15 › Chapter 97— WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT › § 7103
An Interagency Committee must include one representative from each of these: Commerce, Defense, Health and Human Services, Labor, the Small Business Administration, Transportation, Treasury, the General Services Administration, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, and the President’s executive policymaking staff. Each agency head must, not later than 45 days after December 2, 1997, pick a policymaking official to serve and report directly to that head. The Small Business Administration’s representative must be the Assistant Administrator of the Office of Women’s Business Ownership. That person will also be the vice chair, report to the Administrator, and act as the committee’s liaison to the National Women’s Business Council under section 7105. Other federal officials may join meetings temporarily to help with specific goals. Not later than 45 days after December 2, 1997, the President, after consulting the SBA Administrator, must name one member as chairperson. Members receive no extra pay. If the chair asks, any agency head may detail staff to help the committee carry out its duties without following section 3341 of title 5.
