Title 15 › Chapter 15D— ALASKA NATURAL GAS PIPELINE › § 720h
Keeps any certificate, permit, right-of-way, lease, or other approval given under section 9 of the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Act of 1976, and any Presidential finding or waiver under that Act, in effect. Federal agencies that issued those approvals may add, change, or remove terms to meet current project needs (for example, design, facilities, or tariff details). They may not change the basic nature or general route of the system as described in section 2 of the President’s decision, or do anything that would significantly stop or delay its speedy construction and first operation. The Secretary must make the project sponsor provide updated environmental data, permits, reports, and impact studies needed to create the detailed terms and compliance plans under section 5 of the President’s decision.
