Title 15 › Chapter 16B— FEDERAL ENERGY ADMINISTRATION › Subchapter II— OFFICE OF ENERGY INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS › § 790
Creates an Office of Energy Information and Analysis inside the Federal Energy Administration. The President must appoint a Director with Senate approval. The Director must have the professional background and experience to run an energy information system. The Administrator must delegate to the Director the authority the Administrator has under sections 796 and 772. Delegations can be nonexclusive if the Administrator decides that is needed to carry out legal duties. The Director may act in the Administrator’s name under sections 797 and 772 to obtain enforcement of the delegated authorities. "Energy information" means what section 796 defines.
