Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter XVIII— SARATOGA NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK › § 159
When the United States acquires title to all the land, buildings, and other property at Saratoga, New York, where the Battle of Saratoga was fought in the War of the Revolution, that area must be set aside as a public park for the people and called the Saratoga National Historical Park. The park must include the part of the battlefield now owned by the State of New York and any nearby lands the Secretary of the Interior may designate within six months after the approval of sections 159 to 159b of this title as necessary or desirable.
