§192b–6 Exchange of Lands

Summary

The Secretary of the Interior can trade land, land rights, and buildings in Rocky Mountain National Park. He may give the Colorado Transportation Company the United States’ right to occupy the Fall River Pass Building next to Trail Ridge Road in section 36, township 6 north, range 75 west, but not the land under the building. The United States keeps the right to use the alpine exhibit room free for two years. He may also give the company the U.S. land and buildings called Grand Lake Lodge (parcel A). In return, the Secretary can take from the company the lands called parcels C and D and any other private lands in the park he designates. The exchanged properties must be about equal in value, and any difference must be paid in cash. All of this must follow the agreement dated February 7, 1961, between the United States and the Colorado Transportation Company.
