Summary

Establish Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas to keep an area with important geological, scenic, and other natural values in public ownership. The park includes the land shown on the map titled "Proposed Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas," No. SA–GM–7100C (February 1965), which is on file at the National Park Service. The Secretary will leave out sections 7 and 17, P.S.L. Block 121 in Hudspeth County and change the boundary if the owner, for himself, his heirs and assigns, agrees not to build any structure there that the Secretary finds would harm public use or enjoyment. Change the park boundary to add about 10,123 acres shown on the map "Boundary Proposal" (August 1986), which is on file with the Director of the National Park Service and the park superintendent.
