The United States will set aside certain lands on the island of Hawaii as the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park once those lands are owned by the United States and chosen by the Secretary of the Interior for the park. The park boundary is changed to add approximately 238 acres shown as “Parcel A” on the boundary additions map (map number PUHO–P 415/82,013, dated May 2001). The Secretary of the Interior may buy about 159 acres shown as “Parcel B” on the same map. After the United States acquires those lands or rights in them, the Secretary must change the park boundary to include them.
