Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter LX— NATIONAL MILITARY PARKS › § 430a–2
The Secretary of the Interior can get land or rights to land inside the park’s new boundary by buying it, accepting donations or donated money, or by swapping lands. Swaps can use federal lands of about equal value that were left out of the park under sections 430a–1 through 430a–3. If the Secretary decides any of those excluded federal lands are not needed for swaps, they must be handled under chapters 1–11 of title 40 and division C of subtitle I of title 41, except for sections 3302, 3307(e), 3501(b), 3509, 3906, 4710, and 4711.
