Summary

The Secretary of the Interior can get land or rights to land inside the park’s new boundary by buying it, accepting donations or donated money, or by swapping lands. Swaps can use federal lands of about equal value that were left out of the park under sections 430a–1 through 430a–3. If the Secretary decides any of those excluded federal lands are not needed for swaps, they must be handled under chapters 1–11 of title 40 and division C of subtitle I of title 41, except for sections 3302, 3307(e), 3501(b), 3509, 3906, 4710, and 4711.

The Secretary of the Interior is authorized to acquire lands and interests in lands within the revised boundary by purchase, donation, with donated funds, or by exchange, utilizing for such exchanges federally owned lands of approximately equal value excluded from the park pursuant to sections 430a–1 to 430a–3 of this title. Federally owned lands so excluded which the Secretary of the Interior determines are not needed for such exchanges shall be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of chapters 1 to 11 of title 40 and division C (except section 3302, 3307(e), 3501(b), 3509, 3906, 4710, and 4711) of subtitle I of title 41.
