§430f–13 Shiloh National Military Park Boundary Adjustment

Summary

Adds three nearby battlefields to Shiloh National Military Park. The new areas are shown on the map titled "Shiloh National Military Park, Proposed Boundary Adjustment", number 304/80,011, dated July 2014, and include Fallen Timbers Battlefield, Russell House Battlefield, and Davis Bridge Battlefield. The Secretary can get those lands by donation, by buying from willing sellers with donated or appropriated money, or by swapping land. Any land the Secretary acquires will be run as part of the Park. "Affiliated area" means Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield. "Park" means Shiloh National Military Park. Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield in Tennessee becomes an affiliated area with the boundary shown on the map "Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield, Proposed Boundary", number 903/80,073, dated July 2014. The City of Parkers Crossroads and the Tennessee Historical Commission will manage it together. The Secretary can give technical help and make cooperative agreements to provide money for marketing, marking, interpretation, and preservation, but cannot buy property there or take full financial responsibility for running it. The Secretary must work with the management group to make a general management plan under title 54, section 100502, and must send that plan to the House Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee within 3 years after funds are provided.
