§430f–13 Shiloh National Military Park Boundary Adjustment

Summary

Adds three battlefield areas — Fallen Timbers, Russell House, and Davis Bridge — to the boundary of Shiloh National Military Park as shown on the map called “Shiloh National Military Park, Proposed Boundary Adjustment,” number 304/80,011, dated July 2014. The Secretary may get these lands by donation, by buying from willing sellers with donated or appropriated money, or by land exchange. Any land obtained this way must be run as part of the Park. Affiliated area means Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield (made an affiliated area). Park means Shiloh National Military Park. Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield in Tennessee is made an affiliated area as shown on the map “Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield, Proposed Boundary,” number 903/80,073, dated July 2014. The City of Parkers Crossroads and the Tennessee Historical Commission will manage it together. The Secretary can give technical help and enter cooperative agreements to fund marketing, signs, interpretation, and preservation, but may not buy land there or take full financial responsibility for running it. The Secretary must work with the managers to prepare a general management plan under section 100502 of title 54 and send that plan to the House Committee on Natural Resources and the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources within 3 years after funds are provided.
