§450y–5 Revision of Boundaries

Summary

Changes the Coronado National Memorial's borders in Arizona so the Park Service can manage and develop it more easily. It adds lots 2 and 7 and a defined part of Homestead Entry Survey 310 in section 18, township 24 south, range 21 east (Gila and Salt River base and meridian) to the memorial and removes that land from the Coronado National Forest. The exact portion of Homestead Entry Survey 310 is set by a detailed point-by-point description that begins at the tract’s southwest corner (called corner number 1) and follows marked survey pipes and National Park Service caps, some of which were placed in 1955, using measured bearings and distances. It also adds lots 5 and 6 in section 20, township 24 south, range 21 east to the memorial and removes them from the Coronado National Forest. At the same time, it takes two small parcels out of the memorial and puts them into the Coronado National Forest: the north half of the SW¼ NW¼ of section 13, and the north half of the SE¼ NE¼ of section 14, all in township 24 south, range 20 east (Gila and Salt River base and meridian).
