Creates the Assateague Island National Seashore to protect and improve Assateague Island (in Maryland and Virginia), nearby small marsh islands, and their waters for public outdoor recreation. The seashore includes the island, the adjacent marsh islands, and water up to one-half mile beyond the mean high waterline, as shown on the map titled “Proposed Assateague Island National Seashore, Boundary Map, NS–AI–7100A, November, 1964,” which is available for public inspection in the offices of the Department of the Interior. The area will be managed under sections 459f through 459f–11.
