Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter LXIII— NATIONAL SEASHORE RECREATIONAL AREAS › § 459i
Creates the Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia to protect important shoreline lands, waters, and their scenic, scientific, and historical values. The seashore is shown on map CUIS 40,000E dated January 1978, which the National Park Service keeps for the public to see. The Secretary of the Interior may make small boundary changes after notifying in writing the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the House Committee on Natural Resources and by publishing the revised map or description in the Federal Register. The total area must not exceed 40,500 acres.
