Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter CXIV— RED ROCK CANYON NATIONAL CONSERVATION AREA › § 460ccc–3
The Secretary must, by January 1, 1997, create and send a general management plan for the conservation area to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee. The plan must be made with public input and must cover public education and interpretation, proposed visitor and administrative facilities (including the Red Rock Canyon visitors center), a cultural resources plan done with the Nevada State Historic Preservation Officer that stresses preservation and enforcement of the Archaeological Resources Protection Act and the National Historic Preservation Act, a wildlife plan made with Nevada agencies using past studies, and a recreation plan that includes nonmotorized dispersed recreation. Unless section 460ccc–5 says otherwise, nothing here changes how section 1782 of title 43 or section 5(a) of the National Forest and Public Lands of Nevada Enhancement Act of 1988 (102 Stat. 2751) apply to lands inside or next to the conservation area as of November 16, 1990.
