Protects rights-of-way and easements that existed on March 1, 1975 for high-voltage power lines, pipelines, water mains, and railroad line-haul work. It also keeps Northern Indiana Public Service Company’s property rights as of October 1, 1986 for two parcels it owns outright that are inside Indiana Dunes National Park on National Park Service Boundary Map No. 626–80,033–B (dated October 1986): area II–I (from the Dune Acres substation east to the Michigan City Generating Station, but excluding about 6.0 acres near Mineral Springs Road) and area II–H.
