Title 16 › Chapter 1— NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter VI— SEQUOIA AND YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARKS › § 47–6
Make sure no Interior Department employee can use personal influence to affect housing for other Department workers or for people who work for contractors. No one inside the Department can steer who gets housing or whether housing is available. When choosing tenants, issuing leases, setting rent, or buying the remaining time on a lease, the Secretary must work through agents picked from groups, companies, or private people who have no important money, legal, or ownership stake in the matter. Those agents may only be paid a reasonable fee for their work.
