Title 16 › Chapter 77— YUKON RIVER SALMON › Subchapter II— CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT › § 5727
Up to $4,000,000 each year is authorized for fiscal years 2007 through 2011 for the Secretary of the Interior to carry out the work covered by this subchapter. The money can pay travel costs for the Panel, alternate members, U.S. members of the Joint Technical Committee, and the advisory committee under federal travel rules. It can pay the U.S. share of costs for the Joint Technical Committee and any U.S.–Canada panels that work on restoring salmon that originate in Canada. Up to $3,000,000 each year is for Yukon River survey, restoration, and enhancement work (up to $1,200,000 of that each year for projects under section 5726(b)). Finally, $600,000 each year is for cooperative salmon research and management projects in the U.S. part of the Yukon River drainage recommended by the Panel.
