Title 16 › Chapter 10B— FISH RESTORATION AND MANAGEMENT PROJECTS › § 777a
Defines three terms used in this chapter. "Fish restoration and management projects" means work to restore and manage fish that matter for sport or recreation in U.S. fresh and salt waters, and includes research, collecting data to guide fishing rules, making restocking plans, and creating or improving hatchery, feeding, resting, or breeding areas by buying, condemning, leasing, or accepting land or building needed facilities; "State fish and game department" covers any state agency or official that does that work. "Outreach and communications program" means efforts to reach anglers, boaters, and the public to boost participation, teach safe and responsible fishing and boating, and promote conservation. "Aquatic resource education program" means programs to teach people about aquatic resources and sportfishing and to encourage responsible attitudes toward the water environment.
