Title 16 › Chapter 12C— FORT PECK PROJECT › § 833e
Set the prices for selling Fort Peck electricity that is more than needed to run the dam so that they reflect that the power is a byproduct of building the dam for the project’s purposes. Make those prices so they cover the cost to produce and send the power, including paying off the capital investment over a reasonable number of years. The Secretary of Energy must make the cost allocation that the rates use, and may fairly split shared facility costs between power and other uses.
