Title 17 › Chapter 6— IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION › § 603
The Treasury Secretary and the U.S. Postal Service must make rules to enforce the ban on certain imports. To block items under section 602, the rules can require a court order or proof the copyright is valid and would be violated, and the filer may need to post a money bond. Items that break the import ban can be seized and forfeited like other customs violations and may be destroyed if the Treasury Secretary or a court orders it.
