Title 18 › Part II— CRIMINAL PROCEDURE › Chapter 201— GENERAL PROVISIONS › § 3013
Courts must add a special fee for anyone convicted of a federal offense. For individuals the fees are: $5 for an infraction or class C misdemeanor, $10 for a class B misdemeanor, $25 for a class A misdemeanor, and $100 for a felony. For businesses or other non-individuals the fees are: $25 for an infraction or class C misdemeanor, $50 for a class B misdemeanor, $125 for a class A misdemeanor, and $400 for a felony. The fee is collected the same way criminal fines are collected. The duty to pay stops five years after the judgment date, and that five-year limit applies to all such fees no matter when they were set. An offense under section 13 is treated as a federal offense for these rules.
