Staff of a Senator, Representative, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, or the Executive Office of the President may accept contributions in those places only if they were not told to have the giver mail or bring the gift to those workspaces, and the staff must transfer the contribution within seven days to a political committee as defined by section 302(e) of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971.
