A special Treasury account is set up in the Architect of the Capitol’s name to handle money for the United States Senate Restaurants. All receipts under sections 2042–2047 and money from the restaurants’ operations must go into that account, and expenses for carrying out those sections are paid from it. Any Treasury amounts appropriated from fiscal year 1973 onward as part of the “Contingent Expenses of the Senate” will be paid to the Architect of the Capitol by the Secretary of the Senate with approval from the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration and must be deposited whole into that account.
