Title 20 › Chapter 28— HIGHER EDUCATION RESOURCES AND STUDENT ASSISTANCE › Subchapter I— GENERAL PROVISIONS › Part B— Additional General Provisions › § 1011h
Congress urges colleges and universities to act to reduce binge drinking and illegal alcohol use on campus. Schools should create a task force of administrators, faculty, students, Greek-system reps, and others to study campus life and recommend changes. They should offer alcohol-free housing and fun alcohol-free activities. Colleges must have a strict no-tolerance rule for illegal student drinking and enforce discipline, while referring students with alcohol problems to help like counseling. Schools should limit alcohol sponsorships and ads and work with the local community on responsible alcohol policies.
