Provides grants to eligible partnerships to help K–12 students who are underrepresented minorities or low-income explore science, technology, engineering, and math through outreach and hands-on learning. Grants depend on available funding. Each grant must be at least $500,000 and last five years. Grant recipients must cover 50 percent of the project cost from non-federal sources, either with cash or in-kind support. The Secretary must try to fund projects across different parts of the country as much as possible. Only the partnerships listed in paragraph (5) of section 1067g may get these grants.
