Summary

Hispanic-serving colleges and universities that are eligible can get special help when they apply for certain federal programs under subchapter IV or section 1124 of this title. The Secretary may, under rules, waive the school’s required nonfederal cost share or give the school priority for approval if the project otherwise qualifies. A waiver cannot be used if approval would spend more than 10 percent of that program’s funds in any fiscal year.
