Title 21 › Chapter 28A— FENTANYL ERADICATION AND NARCOTICS DETERRENCE OFF FENTANYL › Subchapter I— SANCTIONS IN RESPONSE TO NATIONAL EMERGENCY RELATING TO FENTANYL TRAFFICKING › § 2355
Forfeited property covered by the law must be put into either the Department of the Treasury Forfeiture Fund (31 U.S.C. 9705) or the Department of Justice Assets Forfeiture Fund (28 U.S.C. 524(c)). The President must send a report to the relevant congressional committees within 180 days after April 24, 2024, and every 180 days after that, listing deposits made in the prior 180 days. Covered forfeited property means property seized under chapter 46 or 18 U.S.C. 1963 that belonged to or was held by someone tied to a transnational criminal organization under this subchapter, the Fentanyl Sanctions Act (21 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.), or Executive Order 14059. Nothing here changes how blocked assets of a terrorist party under section 201(a) of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 (28 U.S.C. 1610 note) are handled.
