The Treasury must tell U.S. directors at the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and similar multilateral banks to use America’s vote and influence to do two things. First, lift bans on financial and technical help for building, moving, and supplying nuclear power, including small modular reactors that meet U.S. or OECD safety and quality standards. Second, strengthen the banks’ staff and skills so they can study nuclear energy’s role in client countries and provide that help.
