Congress may provide any funds the Commission needs each fiscal year, and the money stays available until spent. Payments require approval by the Chairman and Cochairman together, or by a majority of the personnel and administration committee under section 3008(a). Under section 1754(b) the Commission counts as a standing committee. Up to $6,000 per year may fund official receptions, and either leader may authorize official foreign travel.
