Title 22 › Chapter 10— HEMISPHERAL RELATIONS › Subchapter II— WAR MATERIALS › § 522
The Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Navy may, when carrying out sales under section 521, share or send to the government of any American republic or to an authorized person information about weapons, ammunition, warships, and coastal or antiaircraft defense equipment sold or built for that government. They can also export that equipment and ammunition if doing so does not conflict with U.S. defense needs. Any information shared or tied to exported items stops being restricted one year after the date it was authorized or exported.
