§5471 Report on Initial Steps Taken by United States and on Poland’s Requirement for Agricultural Assistance

Summary

The President must send Congress a report within 60 days after November 28, 1989. The report must say what steps the U.S. government has taken under subchapter I, especially under sections 5412(a) and 5412(b); assess Poland’s need for agricultural assistance in fiscal year 1990 and for fiscal years 1991 and 1992; and state how much U.S. agricultural aid the President proposes to provide. If new information becomes available, the President must send updated assessments for Poland’s agricultural needs in fiscal years 1991 and 1992 and specify the proposed U.S. aid amounts.
