Creates the United States Agency for International Development as part of the Executive Branch and treats it as the kind of agency named in section 104 of title 5. It remains in place unless ended by the reorganization plan in section 6601 or changed under section 6562. Does not require any U.S. officer who was serving in the Agency for International Development of the United States International Development Cooperation Agency the day before this subchapter took effect to be reappointed.
