Title 22 › Chapter 78— TRAFFICKING VICTIMS PROTECTION › § 7104d
Keeps the current legal responsibilities of grantees, subgrantees, contractors, subcontractors, and others covered by section 106(g) of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act the same, except for any changes made by section 1706. It also does not reduce the Attorney General’s power to investigate the activities covered by this title. The Federal Acquisition Regulation must be updated within 270 days after January 2, 2013 to include the rules in sections 1702, 1703, 1704(c), and the second sentence of 1704(a)(1). Those rules apply to grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements made on or after that 270-day date and to task or delivery orders awarded on or after that date. Federal agencies must put rules from sections 1704, 1705, and 1707 (except 1704(c)) into effect within 90 days after January 2, 2013. Changes from section 1706 take effect on the date they were enacted and apply to conduct on or after that date.
