Title 22 › Chapter 95— IRAN FREEDOM AND COUNTERPROLIFERATION › § 8809
The President can use the powers in sections 1702 and 1704 of title 50 to carry out this law. Anyone who breaks, tries to break, plans to break, or causes someone else to break this law or its rules will get the same penalties that appear in subsections (b) and (c) of section 1705 of title 50. Also, when applying sanctions under sections 8803(d), 8804(a), and 8805(a), certain parts of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 apply the same way they do to section 5(a) of that Act and can replace sections 8803(i), 8804(g), and 8805(e). Those parts are 4(c)(1)(A), 4(c)(2)(A), 4(c)(2)(B)(i); 5(c), 5(d), 5(f); and sections 8, 11, 12, and 13(b).
