Title 25 › Chapter 20— TRIBALLY CONTROLLED COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES ASSISTANCE › Subchapter IV— TRIBALLY CONTROLLED POSTSECONDARY CAREER AND TECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS › § 1863
Certain other parts of this title do not apply to the programs under this subchapter. Money provided under this subchapter must follow the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450 et seq.). If a tribally controlled postsecondary career and technical institution was chosen for funds under section 1862(b) and had an agreement with the Secretary under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act in place on August 14, 2008, the institution can choose to get its funds under that agreement. Getting help from this subchapter does not stop a tribally controlled postsecondary career and technical institution from getting other federal financial aid. That includes aid under the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1001 et seq.), the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.), or other federal programs for colleges and postsecondary schools.
