Title 25 › Chapter 27— TRIBALLY CONTROLLED SCHOOL GRANTS › § 2510
Schools that get a grant under this program can open a trust fund at a federally insured bank. Only money that does not come from the federal government can be put into the fund, except that interest earned on grant funds under this program may be deposited. The fund may also hold its own investment earnings and noncash gifts like land or equipment, which the school can use or sell. The school may take out interest from the fund from time to time and spend it, as the school decides, to help pay operating costs that fit the program’s purposes.
