Summary

By December 21, 2023, the Secretary must create rules and regulations to carry out this chapter. The Secretary must do this with the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Attorney General, and must also consult with Indian Tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations before finalizing the rules.

Not later than 1 year after December 21, 2022, the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Attorney General, and after consultation with Indian Tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations, shall promulgate rules and regulations to carry out this chapter.
