Title 25 › Chapter 43— NATIVE AMERICAN HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND SELF-DETERMINATION › Subchapter VIII— HOUSING ASSISTANCE FOR NATIVE HAWAIIANS › § 4239
Each fiscal year the Director must review how the Department carried out its housing plan and send a report to the Secretary in a format the Secretary approves. The report must explain how grant money to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands was used that year, how that use matched the housing plan’s goals, what the program accomplished, and how the Department would change the housing plan based on its experience. The Secretary sets the deadline, reviews each report, and may make recommendations. The Director must make the report available to beneficiaries under the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act, 1920 (42 Stat. 108 et seq.), give them enough time to comment before sending it to the Secretary, and include a summary of those comments.
