25 U.S.C. § 5611: Definitions

Summary

Defines three terms used later in this part. "Indian tribe" has the meaning given in the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450b); "Project" is the Indian trust asset management demonstration project set up under section 5612(a); and "Secretary" is the Secretary of the Interior.

In this subchapter:

(1)Indian tribe

The term “Indian tribe” has the meaning given the term in the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450b).

(2)Project

The term “Project” means the Indian trust asset management demonstration project established under section 5612(a) of this title.

(3)Secretary

The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of the Interior.
