The Attorney General must train law enforcement on how to record a victim’s Tribal enrollment or Tribal affiliation in federal databases. Not later than 180 days after October 10, 2020, the Attorney General, working with the Secretary of the Interior, must finish a formal consultation with Indian Tribes on improving Tribal data relevance and access to databases, and must meet with Tribal organizations and urban Indian organizations about the same issue. Not later than 180 days after October 10, 2020, the Attorney General must also create and use a public outreach plan about the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System and reach out to Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations to explain that missing-person information can be entered publicly into the system or another non-law-enforcement portal, including entries by family members and other known acquaintances.
