Shipping, moving, or removing distilled spirits, wines, or beer under a false or incorrect name or brand — or causing someone else to do that — is illegal. A person who does this can be fined up to $1,000, jailed up to 1 year, or both, and the alcohol and its barrels or containers will be seized.
