Treats any lawsuit filed on or after May 14, 1947 under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, the Walsh‑Healey Act, or the Bacon‑Davis Act as starting on the day the complaint is filed. For collective or class suits under the Fair Labor Standards Act or the Bacon‑Davis Act, an individual’s case starts on that filing day only if they are named in the complaint and their written consent is filed that same day; otherwise it starts on the later date when their written consent is filed in the same court.
