Title 29 › Chapter 16— VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND OTHER REHABILITATION SERVICES › § 712
The Secretary of Education must create a central clearinghouse of information for people with disabilities. It must list where services and programs are and how to get them (including data from state workforce boards about Title I programs), share recent research and medical findings about disabilities (like causes, prevention, and treatments), and report current counts of people with disabilities and their needs. The Commissioner may help build a coordinated system inside the Department to collect and give this information to Congress, agencies, groups, people with disabilities and their families, professionals, and the public. The office doing this work will be called the "Office of Information and Resources for Individuals with Disabilities." Money can be appropriated as needed to carry out this work.
