A State can use money it gets under section 731 to teach and help employers who have hired, or want to hire, people with disabilities through programs in this subchapter. The funds can pay for training about disability awareness and laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; help set up work-based learning (internships, apprenticeships, short jobs, and pre-employment services), recruit and train employees with disabilities, and tackle job-retention issues; provide advice on workplace changes, assistive technology, and access; and help employers find and use financial supports for hiring or accommodating workers with disabilities.
