Title 33 › Chapter 33A— MARINE DEBRIS RESEARCH, PREVENTION, AND REDUCTION › Subchapter IV— ADMINISTRATION › § 1984
The Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Energy, the EPA Administrator, and other federal agency heads must give priority to fighting marine debris when they run innovation and entrepreneurship programs that improve how the Marine Debris Program works without weakening its purpose. They must (1) boost new and better methods to find, trace, measure, stop, reduce, and remove marine debris; and (2) address how marine debris affects the U.S. economy, the ocean environment, and navigation safety.
